SImple
Heart

These precious moments of life slip by so fast if they aren’t intentionally captured, and it became my passion to help people preserve them.

As I grew to discover that photography would be my main profession, I desired that my personality and passion would be reflected in the name of my business. Knowing that I like to keep things simple and beautiful (but not over complicated) and that I have a heart filled with passion for this work, the name “Simple Heart” was a perfect fit.

I believe my talent and passion for living a beautiful life are gifts given from God, and I aspire to use those gifts to help spread His glory. My passion carries into all aspects of life: how I love God, my husband, my children, and my community.

As the story-teller on your wedding day, this passion will allow me to put 100% into all the day's events. Together, we will create a visual story that will be treasured for a lifetime. As a family photographer I desire to create images and capture the personality of your family that will be shared for generations through the beautiful images you will hang in your homes and shared with loved ones.

As a young adult, I became fascinated with capturing old, run-down barns, the magic of fall colors, the precious stages of a child’s first year of life, the contagiousness of a couple in love, and a smitten bride on her wedding day.

AT SIMPLE HEART PHOTOGRAPHY

THANK YOU FOR READING MY STORY AND KNOW THAT I CAN’T WAIT TO START WORKING ON YOURS!

I love making new friends and I have a lot of friends all over the world. It is known by my husband and my family that I could drive across the country and have a place to stay with friends the whole way. It's always good to have connections, right?

I think the best conversations happen over a warm cup of coffee or big glass of red wine while sitting in overstuffed chairs with your feet up, and probably barefoot.

I LOVE to cook and am so blessed that I have a husband who loves to eat yummy food. I am told our house always smells good with my latest dish that is brewing on the stove or cooking in the oven.

I sometimes talk so fast people insist I am from New York.

what makes Rachael

As a youth minister for 5 years Brian has eaten his share of pizza. And he still loves it. The best pizza to him is free pizza, but if he had to pick a favorite it would be the Razorback from Puccini’s.

Brian is a Jeep Wrangler guy! When he met Rachael she was excited to learn this about him, as she has always loved seeing Wranglers around! Perfect weather calls for the doors and top to come off for a great ride, and a good Jeep Wave never hurts.

03

Brian is a Notre Dame fanatic. It is not just about football, but you will know where to find him on a Saturday afternoon during football season. He loves the campus, the culture and all things Notre Dame.

02

He is a man of a few words (most of the time), but when he does share, listen up, because it is usually something that will make you pause, think, reflect or move into action.

what makes Brian

on to the next

Brian and Rachael got married in October of 2007. After six short months of dating, they knew they had found “the one their soul loved” and didn’t want to delay any longer. A large wedding surrounded by family and friends, and lots of prayers. Praying the Litany of Saints before their vows and doing a devotion to Our Lady and St. Joseph during their Wedding Mass were some highlights for them.

We love wine and love learning about wine. We recently discovered a local Wine Bar where we have become regulars. We consider it our “Cheers” where everybody knows our name!

When asked during our wedding Mass, “Will you accept children lovingly from God?” Rachael said YES so loudly that the whole church laughed. We are blessed to have five beautiful children on this side of Heaven, and one saint in Heaven that we lost to an early miscarriage. We have four boys and one girl right in the middle. Our days are full of love, joy and a little crazy. This is our circus, these are our monkeys!

Do you want to start a business? The possibilities are endless! As St. Therese of Lisieux says, “I choose all!”

Wish you could spend an entire day with Rachael? You can!
